Choosing the right card for the occasion is difficult but what is usually more difficult is choosing the right things to say in it. Every one wants to say something which has never been said before or at least hasn’t been used about a million times. I find it difficult to be original or at the least a little bit different on birthday greetings. They are way too common and so I decided to look around and luckily found a few amusing yet uncommon quotes. The quotes below may not be unheard of, but they are sure not as readily available.
- Time and tide wait for no man, but time always stands still for a woman of thirty.
- Age is something that doesn’t matter, unless you are a cheese.
- Inside every older person is a younger person – wondering what the hell happened?
- When I turned two I was really anxious, because I’d doubled my age in a year. I thought, if this keeps up, by the time I’m five I’ll be 64.
- Live as long as you may. The first twenty years are the longest half of your life.
- Men are like wine: some turn to vinegar, but the best improve with age.
- Like many women my age, I am 28 years old.
- Birthdays are nature’s way of telling us to eat more cake.
- To me, old age is always 20 years older than I am.
- Age is a number and mine is unlisted.
- There is still no cure for the common birthday.
- You know you are getting old when the candles cost more than the cake.
- As you get older three things happen. First your memory goes, and I can’t remember the other two.
- I never forget my wife’s birthday. It’s usually the day after she reminds me about it.
- Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show that the people, who have the most, live the longest.
These quotes have often saved me from embarrassment when everyone except me had something smart to say. These also help bring a smile to the birthday girl or boy’s face and light up a party with a roar of laughter if the timing is right. This is the one I like the best, “The best birthdays of all are those that haven’t arrived yet.”

Wishing Happy Birthday to friends and family on their birthday must be one of the oldest traditions in the world. Nobody knows when the custom began, but today it is considered a must to wish friends and family on birthdays. Before the advent of myspace most of the people used ecards to greet. After myspace coming in picture and gaining fantastic popularity, no body on myspace thinks of any medium other than sending a graphic.
Birthday reminder-
One of the advantages of the profile on myspace is the display of upcoming birthdays of friends. One need not keep a record of the birthdays. Myspace itself gives a list of all upcoming birthdays. That is great strain off the mind. What one needs to do is to send a graphic a day before the arrival of the birthday and be the first to greet the friend. Can you imagine the convenience?
Age groups-
Earlier most of the myspace users were young people. Now if you look at any random profile, you find people in sixties and seventies participating on myspace. So it is not that your friends will not be on myspace. Make a profile and invite friends. You will be surprised with the response.
Myspace graphics- how to select?
A graphic is like a printed card or an ecard. Look at the image and the text and decide if the recipients will like it. Oversize graphics will distort the profile Very small graphics will not get noticed. Therefore choose graphics of a decent size. Do not select heavy graphics or flash comments. They may take lot of time to get downloaded. Use quick downloading graphics.
Myspace graphics- how to add?
For most of the new members of myspace this becomes tricky. But this is very simple. Click on your friend’s profile. Watch the right side and slide the page below. You will reach a space that says- add comment. Copy the code of your chosen graphic and paste it there. It is done. As soon as you refresh the profile you will see your graphic. Imagine joy the recipient will get with a myspace graphics that says- Happy Birthday.
