Animated Christmas Cards

Christmas is fast approaching. Everywhere you go, you see lanterns, wreaths, and Christmas trees adorn every house. Indeed, Christmas is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. So, how do you spread Christmas cheer? Will you give presents to your loved ones or throw a party? There are many ways to spread Christmas cheer and one of them is by giving animated Christmas cards.

Christmas cards will always be around during the yuletide season. This year, you can try something different by giving cards instead of the usual ones found in malls.

Here are the reasons why animated Christmas cards are the in thing during this time of the year:

• Put a twist to ordinary cards
Gone were the days when you will only read whatever texts are written on cards or listen to battery-operated songs once you open the cards. Through technology, you can now watch the illustration in your cards come alive. You spread Christmas cheer through the lively Christmas carols and live animation that go with every card.

• Provide entertainment
Isn’t it that we often set aside cards after reading what is written inside them? With Xmas cards you will be so entertained that you won’t even want to let them out of your sight. You will surely enjoy watching the animations and listening to carols while reading your card.

• Very affordable
Just because they are animated doesn’t mean you have to pay too much for an animated card. As a matter of fact, they are very affordable. You will definitely get your money’s worth since they guarantee to put a smile on the receivers’ faces and make you unforgettable as well.

• Widely available
You don’t need to search far and wide for these cards since they are so popular. You can buy Xmas cards in bookstores and department stores. If you don’t want to get out of the house to buy one, well you can purchase your own online.

• Comes in different designs
Xmas cards are available in different designs so you have a wide selection to choose from. Surely, you will be able to find one that suits whoever you want to give a card to this Christmas.

You too can help spread Christmas cheer by giving your loved one animated Christmas cards. They are unique, entertaining, affordable, and come in different designs. Further, you can buy them from your local bookstore, department store and even in the web.

Personalized Christmas Cards Made Easy

Do you know why many people are now making and sending personalized Christmas cards?

First, you can make a whole library of cards specific for any reason.

Secondly, instead of buying a box set of twenty Christmas cards that have only five different designs in them, with a digital photo set you can have a limitless amount of designs to choose from.

Thirdly, the type of greeting card you send is only limited by your imagination. And the beauty if it is in its simplicity – all you need is a digital camera and a computer.

Ok, let’s talk about creating personalized Christmas cards from scratch.

Though this is a time consuming activity and it also requires a bit of creativity, it’s not necessary to worry if you are not the artist you wish you were. The attempt to create something on your own will send the right message across and your hard work and dedication will be much appreciated.

To make your own personalized Christmas cards, you can use materials you probably already have on hand.

For example, use the scraps of left over wrapping paper. How you use it depends on the design of the paper. Pictures can be cut from it and used to form a montage. Or strips can be used to trim the border of a card. Again, the true beauty of Christmas photo cards lie in the fact that it’s not just you that will enjoy the creative process, but your whole family too.

Whether it’s a family portrait for a beloved grandparent who lives far from you, or a cute picture of your dog wearing a Santa hat, professional-looking personalized Christmas cards are simply a photo away.

If you have children, get them involved and help them create Christmas photo cards with a scene from their favorite Christmas film.

For example, you can use something like ‘Mickey’s Christmas Carol’.

With a little patience and instruction, your child can be superimposed onto Mickey’s body, and be stood next to Goofy or another Disney character. Then you can turn it into personalized Christmas cards and let them send to their friends for a truly unique Christmas wish.

It’s so easy to make as well.

Another benefits of personalized Christmas cards is that you can promote your business with these cards (as marketing material) during the season of a year. There are lots of ways to make your business Christmas cards stand out from the ones your clients will be receiving. One way to do this is the shape of the card itself.

It’s not  expensive to get personalized cards for your business or friends. In fact it’s easy to do.

Verses To Put In Christmas Cards – Try These

Not sure what verses to put in your Christmas cards. Here’s a few suggestions:

Wishing you peace, love, and joy

God’s Blessings
Be Yours
This Christmas!

Wishing you Christmas Happiness
to warm your heart and home
with special joy.

Sharing with you the Glory,
the Wonder, the Miracle
of this Holy Season.
Have a Blessed Christmas and New Year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

We wish you and your family,
Seasons Greetings
and a joyous New Year.

At this Holiday Season
we remember and honor those
who are no longer with us
and cherish those who are.

Let the spirit of love
gently fill our hearts and homes.
In this loveliest of seasons
may you find many reasons for happiness.

This
Xmas,
I would
like to put
up a tree in my
heart, and instead
of hanging presents,
I would like to put the
names of all my friends.
Close friends and not so close
friends. The old friends, the new
friends. Those that I see every day
and the ones that I rarely see. The ones
that I always remember and the ones that
I sometimes forget. The ones that are always
there and the ones that seldom are. The friends of
difficult times and the ones of happy times. Friends
who, without meaning to, I have hurt, or without meaning
to have hurt me. Those that I know well and those I only know
by name. Those that owe me little and those that I owe so much.
My humble friends and my important friends. The names of all those
that have passed through my life no matter how fleetingly. A tree with
very deep roots and very long
and strong branches so that
their names may never be
plucked from my heart. So
that new names from all
over may join the existing ones. A tree with a very
pleasant shade so that our friendship may take a
moment of rest from the battles of life. “May the
happy moments of Xmas brighten every day of
the new year”. These are my sincere wishes.

How to Make Beautiful Handmade Christmas Cards

This simple card is great to showcase your own collages and artworks. Accurate measuring and cutting is essential because you want the card to be able to stand up on its own. Use stiff paper, card stock, in whites, beiges and vanilla tones. Depending on the time of year you can make birthday cards, Christmas cards and any other holiday cards. Use colors and found objects accordingly. For example use green, red, and gold for Christmas cards.

Materials:

Sheet of handmade paper, card stock, or stiff paper
Scrap piece of card for window template
Bits and pieces of handmade papers, fibers, ribbons, fabrics, trims and interesting found objects
Matching paper for envelope
Craft knife
Pencil
Ruler
Self-healing mat
Bone folder
PVA adhesive and brush
Double-sided tape (optional)

Basic Methods:

If you feel a bit uneasy you can always practice these steps first on an inexpensive sheet of paper. Then keep your first card as a template.

1. You will need one sheet of 8 1/4 x 11 ½ inch paper. On the back mark the paper into thirds across the width. Score with a bone folder and fold both end panels inwards.

2. Open the card and lay it on a self-healing mat and cut a window in the center panel using your window template this way you can be more certain of the position of your window, before you start cutting. Your window template should be approximately 2 x3 inches. You can change the size of the window for different cards if you prefer. Rescore the fold lines.

3. Create a collage on the inside of the first flap. Have fun and be creative. Use your little scraps of paper, ribbon, and other embellishments. Study the composition by closing the flap; check how your collage looks through the window before gluing the pieces in place.

4. Glue the two front panels together with watered down glue or double sided tape.

5. To make the envelope, use another sheet of matching or contrasting paper. Lay the card diagonally across it and fold up the sides. Glue down two sides and bottom fold to create the envelope.
