This is a tutorial for greeting card printing. Do not be afraid, it is easy to print greeting cards all by yourself. All you have to do is follow this 7 step procedure in greeting card printing and you will be able to get good, decent looking color greeting cards for your purposes. Once you remember these steps, you can easily branch out to more advanced procedures in no time at all. So let us get started with the first step.
1.Get your greeting card template – First things first, you will need to get a greeting card template. This is the most important tool that you will need, since this will make the whole greeting card printing process easier for you. You can try to find greeting card templates in your desktop publishing tool (i.e. Microsoft Publisher) or you can download free templates from the Internet. It might be trick at first to find, but usually, the websites of greeting card printing companies offer free downloads for greeting card templates. Just turn your search engines to look for those sites and you should get plenty of templates to choose from.
Of course, make sure that the templates you are downloading can be opened by your desktop publishing application.
2.Insert your image – Once you have a template, then it is time to get to work with the design. Usually the first thing that people work on is the cover of the custom greeting card. Simply go to the cover section of your template and load it up for editing. Just insert your image for your greeting card at the cover layout. Make sure that the image is in high resolution and that it is in the proper scaling for the template. 3.Insert your message – Next, load up your inside pages for your greeting cards and insert your important personal or business marketing message there. But there’s also a big difference in designing and writing a greeting card for marketing and business. Creating a greeting card for a loved one or friend is easier as writing the message can include incorporating a shared joke or an intimate family anecdote. A private joke or a punch line can easily make the recipient of your custom greeting card printing smile, laugh and appreciate your card.
It is also very easy to make your recipients nostalgic and remember treasured memories, which can be very welcome indeed for them. Writing greeting cards to these people is very special yet uncomplicated that you won’t even consider it a task that you need to accomplish. Simply writing your message and designing your card reflects you, your recipient’s qualities, and a memory that both of you share.
On the other hand, handcrafting a custom greeting card for your business is a totally different matter. This time around, the recipients of your cards speak about your business, your company and what you can do for your target clients. Your message is not just your message, but that of each one in your company. It is the message that would get everyone represented in your greeting card. Hence, it is very important that you be careful with how you design and craft your greeting card. It would be something that would represent your organization to your recipients, thus, make you remembered by them or ignored in the process.
So you really have to carefully plan what you have to say in your greeting card printing. Before you begin putting ink on paper, ask yourself this: what do you want to say to your target recipients? What do you want to convey to the one receiving your greeting card? Indeed, having success from your custom greeting card printing starts with knowing full well the message that you would want to communicate to your target audience.
Now that you’ve determined what you want to say to your target recipients, it’s time for you to sit down and write your message. Don’t stick with the first idea that you’ve written down. Experiment and play with different messages and style of relaying your subject. You can even get everyone involved in the process. The more ideas you get, the better your message will be to encapsulate the entire organization’s good wishes for your target clients.
Finally, be sure to keep everything simple, concise and straightforward. If you really want your recipients to get your message, make it easy for them to understand it fast.
